I received this email from the President of the United States today:

At no other time in US history has a President of the United States used social media and email to create such a personal connection.
No matter what political side you are on, you must admit that this type of communication from a President is NEW and carefully orchestrated to make ME feel important and having the gratitude of the person I voted for makes me feel more involved in the state of my country.
Imagine if your customers could feel the same way.
